Video Marketing Doesn’t Have to be Difficult or Expensive!
Have you wanted to dabble in some video marketing but think that it’s too expensive and out of your reach? Feel like it’s too hard to do it yourself (DIY)? Well, I have news for you, it’s not hard to do it yourself and it’s not hard to find a service provider who can do it for you expertly at a price you can afford. You don’t even have to hire offshore to get a reasonable price! You just need to know where to look.
First, if you want to DIY you’ll need to ensure you have the right software. This software can be had free via something called Open Source Software. Simply do a Google Search on “Open Source Video Editing Software” and you’ll come up with a list. There is also a list on Wikipedia that you can view here. You’ll have to choose a software that matches your operating system but there are free open source versions for any system.
If you have a little money to spend consider buying software called Camtasia. Camtasia is a full-fledged professional video editing software that works pretty well and is intuitive and easy to learn. You can even purchase lessons for learning Camtasia or watch their free lessons on their website. There are even free lessons on YouTube.com! If you have a MAC you can try Apple’s Final Cut Pro software. Both of these, you can try free for a specific amount of time. The important thing is to find some video editing software to use. There are even specialty versions of software you can buy specifically for creating YouTube.com videos with all sorts of easy to insert special effects. You can also use Microsoft Movie Maker or YouTube’s on online editor.
Once you have editing software you need to have a good camera. Purchasing an HD webcam or a HD digital camera of any kind will work well. Even if you can’t afford to purchase the best camera, the next most important thing is the lighting. If you have good lighting even a cheaper camera will work well. Lighting is something you have to practice at but you can use a variety of lights and lamps that you probably already even own to test out what works best for your particular video. The other aspect is sound, having a good microphone that cancels out extraneous sound is imperative to creating a perfect sounding video without sounds that bother people. It will take a bit of practice but you can do it!
There is also another alternative. Use PowerPoint to create engaging and compelling videos! A great place to get images, animated gifs, videos, and Powerpoint templates that almost create the video for you is PresenterMedia.
Animated videos are terrific in grabbing the attention of your viewers and engaging them long enough to hear your message.
Once you get those aspects out of the way, choose some content to get started. You can even choose content you’ve already used elsewhere to re-purpose. Try taking a blog post and creating it into a video. Don’t worry about mistakes, just keep working through mistakes and then work on editing it. You can adjust a lot of things via good editing including to a point, poor lighting. Even if you find that after creating the rough draft video you aren’t good at editing, you can send the raw footage to a service provider who specializes in video editing and production and come back with something that is probably better than you ever thought it could be. Prices vary so ensure that you get three to five quotes before you choose someone. Ask to see some before and after demonstrations of their work as well as checking them out on the Internet.
Now that you have your video, just post it on YouTube.com, your blog, your website, your social media, and sit back and wait for the response. Oh, don’t forget to use great key-worded titles, and descriptions so that potential customers can find you when they search Google. You’ll be surprised how fast your videos will show up on Google when placed on YouTube. Most of all have fun with your local video marketing and don’t get too bogged down with being perfect.

Maximizing Your Ability to Develop a Targeted Subscriber Base of Responsive Subscribers
When it comes to making money online and maximizing your ability to tap into some of the most profitable niche markets, developing a targeted subscriber base of responsive subscribers and customers is an important component in your marketing arsenal.
List building is all about connecting with your target audience by offering them high quality information and consistently working towards building a strong relationship with each and every subscriber. Email marketers collect leads using squeeze pages that are focused on specific topics, and include an “opt-in form” that includes text fields such as a visitors full name and email address, and acts as the doorway into your autoresponder system. These opt-in boxes are generated by your autoresponder provider and are embedded into the HTML code of your squeeze page template with just a few clicks of your mouse.
Each time a visitor to your squeeze page fills in their name and email address, they are added to your mailing list database, and become an active subscriber of your newsletter. Once a subscriber is a confirmed member of your list, you can begin sending follow-up emails that offer high quality and valuable information, such as articles, reports, links to blog posts, video guides and other information and resources that your subscribers would find useful.
List building helps facilitate the process of converting subscribers into active customers, since once your prospect has been added to our mailing list, you are able to develop a relationship with them by communicating with them directly through your follow-up email broadcasts.
In truth, there is no faster or easier way to maximize your online income than with a relevant, targeted and responsive mailing list. You can get 10x the work done in half the time when you are able to instantly touch base with a built-in customer base, who are interested in specific topics or niche markets. For example, with a mailing list you can simply create broadcasts that go out to your entire subscriber base that feature a blend of high quality information and content with promotional based offers and promotions.
Imagine the potential when you have an active subscriber base, right at your fingertips. You can email them any time you like, with fresh offers, high quality content and valuable resources that work towards helping you establish yourself within these niche markets, while building a solid relationship with your subscriber base.

Tip 2 – Focus on consistency. If you ensure that you remain consistent when it comes to creating your videos for your target audience then they are more likely to subscribe or purchase from you. Make sure that when creating your videos that you provide content within them that your potential clients will find valuable and offer them a solution to their problem.

WRONG! Local Businesses DO Need Video Marketing
A lot of local business owners tell me that they don’t need video. It’s meant for online businesses, they say, and while they may have a website, their focus is on the brick-and-mortar side of things. Well, that’s all well and good, but here’s the thing. Your local customers are using the web to find businesses. If they want a restaurant to go to, they aren’t hauling out the Yellow Pages and seeing who’s listed. They’re turning to their iPhones, laptops and Blackberries to search what they are looking for. If you can’t be found online, then chances are many of your potential local customers will never find you.
One way to increase your online visibility is through video. Online video is just about everywhere. Good videos are readily shared and search engines, particularly Google, display online video in their listings. In short, video increases your chances of being found.
What role does video play specifically in your locally-based business?
It’s not just about being found, but also a question of familiarity and credibility. Video is a great way to literally speak to your prospective customers face to face.
Here are a Few Roles Video Can Play in Your Business:
- Familiarity, Branding and Reputation: People do business with people they know. When your prospects and your current customers watch your videos, they feel they know you better. Video is an opportunity to get ‘up close and personal’ and the value is huge.
- Increased Conversions: Video demonstrations on your product pages can dramatically increase your orders and inquiries. Think about it; if your customers see how your product works instead of just reading a description, they’d be more likely to buy, wouldn’t they?
- Attract New Prospects: Publish helpful how-tos for your customers to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Your video ‘how-to’s are easily searched for online and your ideal target prospects can find your content too. For example, if you sell power washers and you have a video on “how to power wash aluminum siding,” you attract people who need the equipment you have to do the job. When you publish demonstrations or infomercials about certain products, web users can also find them through their searches. Whether they’re searching for specific brand names or products that accomplish a certain result, having that video information out there makes it easier for new prospects to find you.
Video can be added to just about every aspect of your marketing
It can be shown in your store in on-screen product demonstrations. You can send DVDs to potential customers and existing customers about new products and developments. You can create ‘welcome’ videos for your web site that increase familiarity with you and your business. Video demonstrations bring your product pages to life. You can use video in your email marketing to build stronger relationships, showcase your products and more. There is so much that can be done and now’s the time to get started.
These are some of the possibilities. Just imagine how video would work in your own unique business.
Now Let’s Say This In Video

How to Market Your Local Business With Video
As a business owner you’re probably always brainstorming ideas about how to market your business both online and offline. Marketing your local business online with video is an excellent way to take advantage of online marketing for your local business. Even when you create a wonderfully produced video, there are some factors that you should take into consideration to ensure the best saturation of your target audience and the success of your online video marketing plan.
If it helps, you can start with writing an article or blog post about something you want to share with your target audience. You can post the text blog or article and still use the video you’ll create next. Using the blog post or the article as the basis for creating the video, or really a guideline, create the video with the right software and technology (or have someone do it for you). Don’t read the article or blog post word for word, but use it as a way to remember what you want to say in the video.
Once you have the video completed, then the next step is to place videos strategically where your target audience will see them. You should know exactly who your target audience is and know where they “hang out” on the net so to speak. But you can also ensure that your Video Search Engine Optimization (VSEO) is impeccable to draw local search results. The way to ensure that the search engines will send your target audience to your videos is to title them with keywords relevant to your local audience, and put these same keywords within the description of the video.
Never forget, no matter what type of marketing you’re doing online — remember to capture leads. If you put the video on your webpage, you can have a pop up asking for an email before viewing the rest of the video. If you have posted the video on YouTube, post some sort of incentive in the description to get them to click through to your website and be asked to sign up for your mailing list. Offering some sort of freebie, such as some free dental floss with your logo on it, or an eBook or report about “Secrets your Dentist Won’t Tell You” or something like that, will entice the new people to sign up for your list.
The final thing you should do when using video to market your local business is to always, always, follow up. You would be surprised at how many marketers fail in this aspect of basic marketing. If you create a list for people to sign up to, make sure you’ve created some auto-responder emails to drip into their email every week, at least. If you send too much they might unsubscribe, but if you don’t send enough, they’ll forget they signed up and when you finally send something, they’ll think it’s spam. It’s a tight-rope that is important to pay close attention to . The follow up is where you’ll get most of your new customers, as well as maintain current customers, and it is very important to the success of your video marketing endeavors.
